Lined Paper

I was looking at this [link] and could not help wondering... why is lined paper such a no-no? Why does it mean I "don't take my art seriously"?? Why can't it more often find its way as an integral part of a piece?

I've used it on my last 3 deviations, does it really look like I'm just a flop artist?
